FanTix

Privacy Policy

FanTix privacy policy for school event ticketing, online checkout, QR-code tickets, admission scanning, school administration, and buyer support.

Last updated: May 9, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how FanTix collects, uses, and protects information when schools use FanTix to create events, sell tickets, deliver QR-code tickets, and scan guests at the door.

Overview

FanTix is built for schools and the communities they serve. We collect information only as needed to operate school ticketing, process event orders, deliver tickets, support school staff, and improve the reliability of the platform.

This policy applies to FanTix websites, public event pages, checkout flows, school dashboards, ticket delivery, buyer support tools, and admission scanning workflows.

Information we collect

School and user information: school name, school contact details, administrator names, user names, email addresses, roles, login information, account status, and school settings.

Event information: event names, descriptions, dates, locations, ticket types, prices, availability, policies, images, and other details a school adds to an event page.

Buyer and order information: buyer name, buyer email, order number, selected tickets, ticket delivery status, payment status, refund status, and support activity related to an order.

Ticket and scan information: QR-code ticket identifiers, ticket status, scan time, scan result, and related event admission records.

Technical information: IP address, device/browser information, pages visited, timestamps, logs, error information, and security-related activity.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage school accounts, publish event pages, process ticket orders, deliver QR-code tickets, support buyers and school staff, scan admissions, generate reports, detect misuse, troubleshoot issues, and keep the platform secure.

We may also use operational information to improve FanTix, understand product performance, communicate service updates, and respond to questions from schools, buyers, or event staff.

Payments

FanTix uses third-party payment providers, such as Stripe, to handle online payment processing. FanTix does not store full payment card numbers on its servers.

Payment providers may collect and process payment details, billing information, fraud signals, and transaction information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

How we share information

We share information with the school or organization responsible for the event so they can manage sales, support buyers, admit guests, and reconcile event activity.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate FanTix, including hosting, email delivery, payment processing, verification, analytics, support, security, and logging providers.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of FanTix, schools, buyers, or the public, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

Schools, students, and children

FanTix is designed for school event operations. Schools control the event information they publish and the school users they invite into the platform.

Buyers do not need a full FanTix account to purchase tickets. If an event involves students or minors, schools are responsible for deciding what event information is appropriate to publish and for following their own policies and legal obligations.

FanTix is not intended for children to create accounts or independently manage school ticketing workflows.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the platform, support schools and buyers, maintain transaction and audit records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, the school relationship, payment or accounting requirements, security needs, and backup practices.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information handled by FanTix. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to reduce risk and respond responsibly if issues arise.

Schools are responsible for managing their own authorized users, passwords, device access, and internal event processes.

Your choices

School users can update certain account and school settings from within FanTix. Buyers or school users can contact us to request help with access, correction, deletion, or other privacy questions.

Some information may need to be retained for legitimate operational, security, accounting, legal, or audit reasons.
